“ This is our go to place to celebrate our Sri Lankan heritage. Wether it’s Awurudu, New Year, our birthdays or whenever we miss home, we pay this place a visit. Their food totally can take you back to the warm memories of Sri Lanka and you’ll be comforted at once. What we felt is that they have carefully chosen the delicacies they want to focus on and does a really good, quality job on them. So far they have maintained consistent quality and taste. Our fav is their Kottu. I don’t think any other place can beat their Kottu. We’ve also tried their fried rice and hoppers. Equally good. Reasonable prices. It’s a family run business and everyone is very friendly. Tiny space so better to reserve a table before you go. Wheelchair accessible. ”

“ Herali is hands down the best Sri Lankan restaurant in the UK! I’ve been going there for over 3 years, and the food just keeps getting better every time. The flavours are so authentic – it truly feels like eating back home again. I’ve tried many so-called Sri Lankan restaurants across the UK, especially in London, but none of them come close to Herali. This place is in a league of its own. They’ve recently started serving breakfast and brunch too, and it’s absolutely amazing – nothing else compares! Everything is fresh, full of flavour, and made with real care. Prices are very reasonable, and the quality is top-notch – definitely worth every penny. The staff are warm, friendly, and always make you feel welcome. If you’re looking for genuine Sri Lankan food that never disappoints, Herali is the place to go! ”

“ Herali never fail to disappoint. I brought my family here over the weekend, they are Portuguese and love Sri Lankan Food. As I am always keen to support local businesses I encouraged them to join me and taste some wonderful Sri Lankan food, and boy, there were no regrets. Service was spot on, but the main event was the food, and they all thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Kottu, Mutton Kottu and the mutton curry - perfectly cooked and thoroughly tasty. I will most certainly be returning as well as my extended family! Well done guys! ”

“ We stumbled upon this place while looking for a Sri Lankan restaurant to try—and we’re so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the string hopper special koththu, chicken nasi, an egg roll, and an egg hopper. Everything was full of authentic flavor, and the nasi and string hopper koththu were especially outstanding—highly recommended! The meal was well worth the long drive. On top of that, the two girls at the counter were incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service. We’ll definitely be back! ”

“ Was in a very quiet and easy-access location. It is only a couple of minutes walk from a few public car parks. The staff was very friendly. You may book a table by calling if it is a Friday or Saturday as it is not a big place. Food is very tasty, you can choose spicy level mild, medium or hot. Prices are very reasonable. But advice from my experience, do not to dare to try hoppers. They are terrible. As we know well how good hoppers are, we can comment on the hoppers we had. This is not real hoppers, it is kind of bread hoppers . Not properly cooked either. We were kind of disappointed as the chef decided to send that to the table knowing it was not of good quality. Anyway, still this place deserves to have 5 starts. ”
